ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِم مُّوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ فَظَلَمُوا۟ بِهَا فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ١٠٣
Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihim moosa biayatina ila firAAawna wamalaihi fathalamoo biha faonuthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu almufsideena

40मिस्र के शासकों की उपाधि फ़िरऔन होती थी। यह ईसा पूर्व डेढ़ हज़ार वर्ष की बात है। उनका राज्य शाम से लीबिया तथा ह़बशा तक था। फ़िरऔन अपने को सबसे बड़ा पूज्य मानता था और लोग भी उसकी पूजा करते थे। उसकी ओर अल्लाह ने मूसा (अलैहिस्सलाम) को एक अल्लाह की इबादत का संदेश देकर भेजा कि पूज्य तो केवल अल्लाह है, उसके अतिरिक्त कोई पूज्य नहीं।
