الفيل

1–5

Translation

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

105:1New

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ۝١

Have you not considered, [O Muḥammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?

105:2New

أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍ۝٢

Did He not make their plan into misguidance?

105:3New

وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ۝٣

And He sent against them birds in flocks,

105:4New

تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ۝٤

Striking them with stones of hard clay,

105:5New

فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍۭ۝٥

And He made them like eaten straw.
